Coalition Govt Focused on Roads, Not Demolitions: Pawan Kalyan

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Saturday said that while the previous government focused on demolitions, the current coalition government is committed to filling potholes and constructing new roads to boost connectivity and development. He emphasized that roads and transport networks are key indicators of a nation’s progress.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari laid foundation stones and inaugurated national highway projects worth ₹5,000 crore in the state. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and several Union Ministers participated in the event. Pawan Kalyan stated that 29 highway projects are being launched under this initiative, with construction speed having tripled since the NDA came to power. He highlighted that under the “Adavithalli Bata” program, roads are now being built in tribal regions that had lacked proper connectivity for 78 years.

The Deputy Chief Minister stressed that both central and state governments are working decisively to improve infrastructure, noting that economic growth depends heavily on better roads. Calling for unity within the coalition, he urged leaders to resolve differences and strengthen the government’s stability for the next 15 years. Pawan Kalyan added that achieving the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision would require a strong focus on infrastructure development.
