Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to expedite the panchayat elections process, aiming for completion at the earliest. The Chief Minister has mandated that the new voter list be finalized by the first week of August. Additionally, he has instructed the BC Commission to submit its report on the reservation issue within the designated timeframe. The government plans to conduct the panchayat elections based on the findings of the BC Commission report.
During a review meeting on the Panchayati Raj system held on Friday, Chief Minister Reddy emphasized the need for the panchayat elections to be concluded by the end of August. Noting that the term of the current sarpanches has already expired by six months, he stressed the urgency of addressing the panchayat elections. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Seethakka, Ponnam Prabhakar, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, K. Keshava Rao, and other key officials.
