CM Revanth Reddy taken U turn on Rythu Bharosa in 17 minutes

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy changed his mind once again on the Rythu Bharosa scheme in 17 minutes. During the assembly elections, he had promised to provide Rs. 15,000 in the manifesto towards Rythu Bharosa, but now he has limited it to Rs. 12,000  and is playing with the emotions of the farmers once again during the implementation of the scheme.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who had initially announced on the Chandravancha platform in Kosgi mandal of Narayanpet district, that the Rythu Bharosa money would be deposited in the accounts of every farmer from the night of January 26, changed his mind shortly from the same platform.

Farmers are expressing surprise after he announced that the Rythu Bharosa funds would be deposited in the accounts of farmers by March 31. He launched four welfare schemes in Chandravanshi on Sunday.

“We are giving Rs. 12,000 per acre per year. Since the banks are closed today, the Rythu Bharosa money will not be deposited. We have taken this program today so that as soon as midnight passes, Rs. 6,000 per acre will be deposited in your accounts, like cash,” he announced loudly. The farmers applauded in support of the announcement.

He said that the connection between land and seeds is between the farmer and the Congress. He recalled that it was the Congress government that first implemented the scheme to provide free electricity to farmers and waived off loans to farmers across the country. In the 17th minute of his speech, Revanth Reddy again mentioned differently.

Farmers were surprised, when afterwards in the same speech he said that ‘Today, the Congress party will take the responsibility of depositing Rs. 10,000 crore in the accounts of poor farmers under Rythu Bharosa for the cultivable lands in the state by March 31 and giving it to the farmers.’

Farmers became motionless with the Chief Minister’s magic of words. It may be recalled that as soon as the Congress came to power, on December 9, it announced that it would waive off farmer loans at the rate of Rs. 2 lakh and give Rs. 15,000 per acre to the farmer’s family.

Farmers are expressing anger that even after 13 months of coming to power, the loan has not been fully waived. The farmers are waiting to see if at least the farmer’s guarantee will be given properly. Farmers are angry that the Congress government has been cheating them from the beginning by not providing investment assistance last monsoon by making excuses.
