CM Revanth Reddy says so Far Rs 1.01 Lakh crore spent on Farmers

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that his government has spent Rs. 1.01 lakh crore on farmers so far. He said that if the BRS government could not waive off loans in ten years, they did it in six months. The Chief Minister launched the `Rythu Nestham’ program in new venues from the Jayashankar Agricultural University in Hyderabad on Monday.

Inauguration of Rythu Nestham was held in 1,034 more Rythu Nestham venues across the state. Meanwhile, Rythu Bharosa funds were deposited in the bank accounts of farmers by clicking the button online from the Rythu Nestham website. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that Rs. 9,000 crores of Rythu Bharosa funds will be deposited in 9 days from Tuesday.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Raoand several MLAs participated in the program. From now on, farmers will meet scientists through Rythu Nestham every Tuesday.  Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy flagged that it was the previous government that made bills pending for sarpanches.

He reminded that the term of sarpanches had already ended when he became the CM. He criticized the previous CM for taking loans whenever he could and pushing the state into a debt of Rs. 8 lakh crore. He said that the government employees were not paid salaries on time. He explained that the state was taken to a situation where benefits could not be paid to retired employees.

He deplored  that people in the state are not eating rice, and the rice distributed by the government has gone astray. He said that it has been decided to distribute rice to people who eat rice. He explained that if the state needs enough rice, we have decided to encourage the cultivation of rice. That is why we are encouraging the cultivation of rice by giving a bonus of Rs. 500 per quintal, the Chief Minister said.

He said that the fine paddy grown by our farmers is filling the stomachs of the poor as small rice. He expressed happiness that Telangana has surpassed Punjab and become number one in paddy yield today. He recalled that the previous government gave Rythu Bandhu and cancelled other schemes.

He said that agricultural equipment and drip irrigation equipment were not provided for ten years. He said that this government is again providing agricultural equipment and drip. Farmers were advised to use solar pump sets in agriculture. CM Revanth Reddy said that farmers should grow only crops suitable for the lands.
