CM Revanth Reddy Opposes Language Imposition, Criticizes BJP Over Delimitation and Fund Allocation

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has strongly opposed the imposition of any language on states, reaffirming the government’s commitment to preserving Telugu. His remarks come amid an ongoing debate between the Central Government and Tamil Nadu over the promotion of Hindi.

Addressing the issue of parliamentary seat expansion, Revanth Reddy criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah, stating that while Shah assures that southern states will not lose MP seats due to delimitation, he has not clarified whether they will see an increase. The Chief Minister accused the BJP of planning to marginalize the South through delimitation while increasing seats in the North to consolidate power. He further alleged that the BJP is diverting funds primarily to BIMARU states, leading to neglect of the southern region.

Revanth Reddy claimed that the BJP is attempting to weaken South Indian states politically by limiting their parliamentary representation. He demanded that the Centre provide transparency on the criteria for delimitation, warning that basing it on population alone would lead to severe injustice for the South.

On Telangana’s financial concerns, the Chief Minister asserted that the state is not seeking personal favors from Prime Minister Narendra Modi but is only asking for its rightful share of funds. He pointed out that Telangana contributes substantial tax revenue to the Centre but receives only a fraction in return. He accused the Central Government of prioritizing states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar while neglecting Telangana. Additionally, he criticized the relocation of a semiconductor company from Hyderabad to Gujarat, calling it an unfair decision.

Revanth Reddy also took aim at Union Minister Kishan Reddy, alleging that he has been obstructing key infrastructure projects, including the Hyderabad Metro and the RRR project. He likened Kishan Reddy to Saindhava, a historical betrayer, and challenged him to disclose the projects he has secured for Telangana.

Dismissing allegations of political misconduct, Revanth Reddy asserted that Telangana leaders are not involved in liquor-related controversies in Delhi and are visiting the capital solely to advocate for the state’s development and financial rights.
