CM Revanth Reddy constituted official panel To study Justice Ghosh Report on Kaleshwaram project

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has formed a three-member committee to study the report submitted by Justice PC Ghosh on the Kaleshwaram project. After studying the report, the government has taken a key decision to discuss the main issues in the cabinet meeting to be held on the 4th of this month and take a decision.

The report of the Kaleshwaram Commission formed under the leadership of Justice Ghosh was handed over to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy by Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao and Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday. Later, CM Revanth Reddy discussed with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Uttam and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and top officials.

After discussing how to proceed with the report of the commission, it was decided to form a committee to study the report of the commission. A three-member committee has been appointed to study the report of the Kaleshwaram Commission and submit a report to the government. The members of this committee will be the Secretary of the Irrigation Department, the Secretary of the Law Department, and the Secretary of the GAD.

Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao has issued orders to study the report of the commission and submit it to the state cabinet meeting to be held on the 4th of this month. It is reported that the commission has included in this report the DPR regarding Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla barrages, when did Medigadda sink, what happened? Who is responsible?

The commission has examined the cabinet meeting minutes held during the BRS regime from the government. It is reported that the commission has mentioned three main issues in this report. It is reported that the report has been submitted on changes in design, construction defects and financial issues. The commission has reportedly mentioned in the report that the budget was released without the permission of the high-level committee.

The commission has said to be made it clear in this report that the state-level high officials were not informed due to lack of coordination between IAS and engineers and direct consultations of the then government officials with the field staff. It is reported that the commission has made recommendations to the government on legal issues regarding the mistakes of the officials.

Meanwhile, it is known that Commission Chairman PC Ghosh submitted his report to Irrigation Department Principal Secretary Rahul Bojja in a sealed cover on Thursday.
