Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has assured that women’s reservation will be implemented in the next assembly elections and that he will take the responsibility of giving 60 seats to women. He said that steps are being taken to ensure that girl children stand with self-respect in Indiramma’s regime. He reiterated that one crore women will be made crorepatis.
Inaugurating the ‘Vana Mahotsavam’ program at the Agricultural University in Rajendranagar he has given a call that “we should all work to cover Telangana with a green saree.” He planted saplings at the Agricultural University. Rudraksha saplings were planted at the Botanical Gardens. Minister Konda Surekha and others participated in the program.
CM Revanth Reddy recalled that elders had said, ‘We are the forest… We are the forest’, saying that only if we protect nature, nature will protect us. He said that his government has set a target of planting 18 crore saplings this year. He asked that at least two saplings be planted in every house. He said that if you protect them like your children, the entire Telangana state will be filled with greenery, he said.
He recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called for planting a sapling in the name of Amma. He suggested that mothers should also plant a sapling in the name of their children. The CM visited the photo exhibition organized on this occasion.
CM Revanth Reddy emphasized that his government is moving forward by encouraging women. He reminded that the responsibility of setting up solar plants and running government schools has been entrusted to girls.
He said that not only have free travel facilities been provided to women in RTC, but they have also encouraged them to rent out 1,000 buses to RTC and made them owners of the buses. He revealed that facilities have been provided for marketing the products made by women’s groups in the Hi-Tech City where Wipro and Microsoft companies are located.
He said that Telangana women are competing with the world. He said that Miss World contestants have appreciated the products made by women’s groups.
