Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has warned party leaders not to have any contact with YCP leaders at any level and not to give space to group politics. While holding a teleconference with TDP MLAs, ministers, MPs and leaders on Monday, he directed that the in-charge ministers should visit the districts.
CM Chandrababu said that the in-charge ministers should provide information to the respective district coordinators, MLAs and MPs while going to the districts. He suggested that the district in-charge ministers should focus on their districts and the number of visits should be increased. He suggested that they should interact with the activists and leaders and definitely go to the district party office.
CM Chandrababu was furious that the YCP leaders were spreading false propaganda when he had said that if YCP leaders were not to be approached, they would not be given schemes to those who voted for YCP. He made it clear that there would be no discrimination in the implementation of welfare programs. He said that schemes are being provided irrespective of parties.
CM Chandrababu made it clear that welfare schemes are separate and political relations are not separate. He said that he is working hard to fill nominated posts, but he deplored that some leaders are delaying by not recommending names. He asked that the details of the leaders who worked hard for the party be provided for nominated posts as soon as possible. He promised that the right people would be appointed to the right posts.
The Chief Minister said that chairmen would be appointed to 21 major temples across the state. “‘60,000 applications have been received for nominated posts. We are examining all of them closely. It is not as if the posts were taken, we should make an impact in the elections”, he said.
“We will provide opportunities to the rest after the two-year term ends. We are monitoring the talent of those who have already taken posts. We should act as soberly now as we were careful when we were in the opposition. We must provide acceptable governance to the people,” he added.
