Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, known for unique initiatives in administration aiming at reaching people with his government activities, is now reportedly preparing to launch a new and novel initiative `Chief Minister Fellows’.
It is learnt that this `Chief Minister Fellows’ team will work in association with the Chief Minister’s Office. Talented youth will be recruited into the `Chief Minister Fellows’ team from youth who have studied in prestigious institutions across the country. They will also be given good salaries.
After being trained on various topics, they will be given district responsibilities. If everything goes as planned, it is learnt that this `Chief Minister Fellows’ will come into effect from April. The main purpose of the `Chief Minister Fellows’ program is to identify loop whiles in the implementation of various government programms and suggest remedial measures.
The members of this team will work on issues such as welfare schemes implemented by the government, shortcomings in their implementation, problems in governance, solutions to them, and opinions of the people at the field level.
The main purpose of this `Chief Minister Fellows’ team is to conduct studies on these issues and to convey the information that is happening at the field level directly to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Chandrababu also believes that `Chief Minister Fellows’ will be helpful in governance by suggesting solutions to various problems as they are highly educated.
On the other hand, such teams have already been appointed by Chief Ministers in some states. IIM Ahmedabad had set up a similar team for the Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office at that time. In this context, it is reported that Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to examine the performance of these teams in the respective states and whether any changes should be made.
Meanwhile, it is known that Chandrababu Naidu recently released the Swarna Andhra Vision 2047 document. This vision document focuses on what needs to be done to realize the dream. It is reported that the `Chief Minister’s Fellows’ team is expected to cooperate in this regard as well.
