Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu deplored that in the last five years people have turned off their TVs as they were unable to hear the abusive language in the assembly sessions. Alleging that the assembly sessions were reflecting `Kaurava Sabha’, he said that it was not transformed into an honorary place.
He was speaking at the valedictory of the cultural programs organized for MLAs and MLCs at the Vijayawada A Convention. He expressed his concern that politics has become polluted today and greeting people warmly in the lobbies that fought fiercely in the assembly on public issues is healthy politics. He said that the assembly is accountable to the people but not to the opposition.
Chandrababu revealed that there is a need to increase the budget for sports and cultural programs. He appreciated that Speaker Ayyannapatrudu successfully organized the program with extra energy. He said that the joy of satisfying everyone is visible in the Speaker. He is hopeful that the program will be organized on a grander scale next year.
“I have seen many programs in my life. But I have only seen such extraordinary talent among members. The serious matter of having four children was presented in a humorous way. GV Anjaneyulu’s talent as an innocent activist and an old-time MLA is amazing. I could not stop laughing at Eshwar Rao’s inappropriate songs. If you laugh like this every day, you will no longer have to deal with hospitals.” he added.
Speaker Ch. Ayyannapatrudu said that if NTR started the culture of sports and entertainment programs for the members of the legislature, Chandrababu would have encouraged him. He recalled that Chief Minister NTR played the role of Duryodhana in the cultural competition held in 1983 and won the first prize.
He also asked CM Chandrababu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to participate in the competitions next year. He praised the women members for showing their sports spirit. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that the comedy dramas were reminiscent of the police station scene in the movie Gabbar Singh.
He said that he had never seen Chandrababu Naidu laughing so much in his life. He congratulated all the public representatives who made the CM laugh heartily. He praised the members for making him laugh for a few days even after this program.
He criticized that the last five years have been spent as if MLAs and MLCs have been factions, attacks, and destruction. He congratulated Ayyannapatrudu, who initiated this program with his natural sense of humor. Pawan praised that this program, which was organized by all the public representatives, forgetting their parties and united, is an inspiration to the country.
