Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu suggested in a meeting with Singapore Minister Tan See Lang that Singapore’s partnership is also needed in the setting up of data centers. CM Chandrababu also mentioned that Singapore’s partnership is needed in the human resources, science and technology, and trade sectors.
He emphasized that Singapore is strong in the logistics sector and that construction of ports is currently underway in AP as well. He asked Singapore companies to participate in green energy, green hydrogen, transmission corridors, ports and other sectors. He asked Singapore to cooperate in the ports and logistics sector.
Singapore Minister Tan See Lang recalled that he had met CM Chandrababu when he came to Hyderabad in the past. He explained that they are interested in working with AP in the green energy and subsea cable sectors.
He said that they are ready to work with AP in the housing construction sector as well. Ministers Naralokesh, Narayana, TG Bharat and senior officials were present. The CM discussed with Minister Tan See Lang the difficulties faced by Singapore companies during the previous Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime and the issue of resolving them. He clarified that he came to Singapore to set records.
He said that a Singapore township had been built in Hyderabad in the past out of admiration for Singapore. CM Chandrababu extended an invitation to attend the partnership conference to be held in Visakhapatnam in November. He revealed that a program to clean roads at night has been undertaken in Hyderabad, which overlooks Singapore.
Meanwhile, CM Chandrababu’s team toured the Bidadari Estate in Singapore, where 10,000 families live, on foot for two hours. Singapore officials explained the features of the housing project set up under the name City in a Garden to the Chief Minister. The Bidadari Housing Project was developed by officials of the Singapore Housing Development Board.
CM Chandrababu discussed the construction of quality residential houses at affordable prices in urban and city areas. The CM team visited the Singapore government housing project spread over 250 acres. The Singapore government has built an eco-friendly housing complex with all the facilities to house 10,000 families. The Singapore Urban Redevelopment Authority has transformed the cemetery area into a beautiful park. The CM team toured the Bidadari Estate as part of the urban house planning.
