Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that a war is going on between development and destruction in the state. During his visit to Kovvur in East Godavari district on Tuesday, he distributed pensions. Then, speaking at Praja Vedika, he said that the economy has been destroyed.
“We have prepared activities to take the development and welfare achievements of the coalition government to every household in the past year. We have started with the achievements, welfare, development and future activities in the past year. Andhra Pradesh is the only state that is giving such a large amount of pensions”, he said.
“We are not only giving money, but we are also distributing pensions to every household on the first day. We are giving three gas cylinders per year. We have deposited Rs. 10,000 crore as a tribute to mothers. Even after facing some difficulties in purchasing paddy, money is in the account of farmers”, he added.
Chandrababu revealed that free bus facilities are going to be provided to women on August 15th. “I am directly coming to the villages to distribute pensions properly. I will not tolerate looking down on the poor. I will work hard for the happiness in the eyes of the poor. I promised to grant pensions to all the deserving. I criticized the previous government for giving pensions to YSRCP workers”, he said.
The Chief Minister warned that he will take action against anyone who uses drugs or marijuana. He deplored that who are addicted to drugs are committing rapes without any distinction between mother, sister and wife. He warned that if they lay a hand on a girl child, that will be their last day. Chandrababu said that 10,000 pioneers have come forward who have adopted one lakh families.
He expressed his grief that the state also has a debt of Rs. 10 lakh crores. Accusing that the Polavaram was destroyed during the previous YSRCP government, the diaphragm wall was damaged and the construction could not be done, he assured that it will be completed by 2027. He recalled that in the past year they have completed 6 percent of the Polavaram project work and in total 82 percent of the work has been completed.
