Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu praised Indians, especially Telugus, for excelling in key positions in the technology sector worldwide and holding top positions as CEOs of many prominent companies in technology hubs like Silicon Valley.
Inaugurating the newly constructed buildings at VIT University in Amaravati, he said that international organizations including Microsoft and Google are being run under the leadership of Indians and Telugus.
The Chief Minister called on students not to be satisfied with jobs after their studies, but to become global citizens. He announced that a Ratan Tata Innovation Hub would soon be set up in Amaravati. He formally inaugurated the ‘V-Launch Pad 2025’ incubation center, set up to boost new startup ideas.
Chandrababu said that it is commendable that 95 percent of students in VIT-AP have secured jobs through campus placements, but he called on them not to be satisfied with just jobs, but to establish new organizations with innovative ideas and grow to the point of providing jobs to ten people.
He recalled that when he was the Chief Minister in the past, he gave great importance to the IT sector and built and demonstrated a high-tech city in Hyderabad in just 14 months. He said that at that time, he said that IT was the future, but now times have changed and new technologies like quantum technology and artificial intelligence have become crucial.
He clarified that now he is focusing on promoting these new technologies. CM Chandrababu said that once there was fierce competition even for the job of an attendant in government offices, but today the youth are giving high priority to jobs in the IT sector, which is a testament to the changed priorities.
CM Chandrababu Naidu said that the necessary environment for startup companies will be created by bringing together industrialists and educational institutions. He suggested that 5 lakh students should study in Amaravati and that AP should be turned into an innovation center. He expressed confidence that Amaravati is being built as a clean and green, blue green city.
He said that development has started in Amaravati and it is moving forward unstoppable. He said that he is focusing on the development of AP along with Amaravati. VIT University Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan, Vice Chancellor Dr. S.V. Kota Reddy, faculty and students participated.
