CM Chandrababu says Rayalaseema will Be Developed As A premier Region, Blueprint Is Ready

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has assured that Rayalaseema will be developed as a premier region. He recalled that this region, which was a land of gems during Sri Krishnadevaraya’s regime,  has turned into a land of stones due to successive droughts.

He asserted at a public meeting held in Paramasamudram village of Kuppam constituency that his government is working with determination for the development of Rayalaseema.

Stating that the blueprint is ready for this, he said that already MoUs were signed for six industries. He said that 12 industries have come up so far, an investment of Rs. 3,908 crore has been made, 15,600 people will get jobs and 26,581 people will get indirect employment.

He said that the people of Seema gave only seven seats to YSRCP in the 2024 elections, and the TDP coalition government is committed to the development of the people of Seema who supported them. He said that Rayalaseema will be developed as a premier region by giving priority to irrigation, horticulture, agriculture and industries.

CM Chandrababu said that once, when there was a drought in Rayalaseema, we used to bring water in trains for cattle and save them. He said that he would put the burden on Venkanna and rush like a bullet to do whatever he wanted to do. If he had a pure intention, he would be victorious.

He explained that Rs. 12,500 crores were spent on Rayalaseema projects during 2014-19, while only Rs 2,000 crores were spent during the YSRCP regime. He said that he had seen incidents where water was brought from outside and played tricks by setting up gates and making a scene, and situations where all the water was drained before the plane could board.

He criticized the YSRCP for being stubborn in telling lies. He said that he is responsible for providing water to every tank, and there is a possibility of providing water to 110 tanks in Palamaner and Kuppam constituencies.

The Chief Minister said that Handreeniwa Phase-1 and Phase-2 will provide irrigation water to six lakh acres and drinking water will be available to 33 lakh people. He said that water will also be provided to industries.

CM Chandrababu said that if Polavaram and Banakacherla are completed and the connection from Vamsadhara to Penna river can be made, there will be no drought. He criticized that the YSRCP has become a poisonous tree and is trying to stop whatever good work it is doing. He said that Polavaram will be completed by 2027. He said that they are working towards development, giving priority to roads and airports in the state.
