Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that population is not a burden but an asset. He said that in the present era, population control is not necessary but management. The Chief Minister, participating as the chief guest in a special program organized at the Secretariat on the occasion of World Population Day, said that the time has come when population is considered an asset rather than a burden.
He said that having a large population in India is not a big problem for us. He said that the youth power is decreasing all over the world and development is also decreasing. He said that the Telugus, who have received economic reforms, are at the top.
He said that due to the decrease in population in the South, there is a discussion that the number of parliamentary seats will also decrease in the redistribution of constituencies.
Chandrababu hoped that AP, which is 1.8 percent in population reproduction rate, will reach 2.1 percent.
He said that population growth is very crucial for achieving the Vikasith Bharat-2047 target. He called on everyone to be ready for the big changes that will come in the next 20 years. The CM said that inclusive aging is the right way to increase population and said that a good policy will be brought for population growth.
He reminded that Hyderabad is an example of people migrating to places where there is development. Chief Minister Chandrababu made it clear that everyone has the responsibility to preserve the inherited family system. He said that it is not good that the population is increasing day by day.
He called for overcoming this problem. He believed that many children are not having children due to lack of proper income and jobs. He suggested that these problems should be overcome through changes in policies. Chandrababu said that a country with a large number of youth will develop and concluded that youth is the most crucial for India.
He reminded that in some countries, if there are many children, rent is paid and direct cash gifts are given. He said that special packages are being given under child allowance in many countries. The CM explained that cars are being given to large families in Hungary. He said that if there are two children in China, the government is providing financial assistance of Rs. 12 lakhs.
