Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that he will launch a scheme for auto drivers on October 4thh. He said that under this scheme, 2,90,234 drivers will be provided assistance of Rs. 15,000 each. He said that if for any reason the names of eligible persons are not in the list of beneficiaries, the problem will be resolved and added to the list.
The Chief Minister gave a PowerPoint presentation on the implementation of Super Six and Manifesto promises in the Assembly. He said that pensions are being given on a large scale under the NTR Bharosa scheme like no other state. He said that he is spending Rs. 2,745 crore per month and distributing pensions to a total of 63.50 lakh people.
The government is spending Rs. 32,143 crore per year on pensions, and Rs. 8,179 crore in Telangana and Rs. 7,295 crore in Kerala are being spent on pensions. They are giving a quarter of the amount given in AP, he said. The CM said that the NTR Bharosa pensions given every month have been given the name Poorla Sevalo after much thought.
“We are providing jobs to the youth of the state in large numbers. So far, we have provided job opportunities to 4,71,574 people. The government gives first priority to job creation. Now there are 204 Anna canteens. Soon, we will set up 70 canteens in rural areas as well,” he said.
“We have launched a policy to provide health insurance to all people through the Universal Health Policy. We have formulated a policy to provide free treatment up to Rs. 25 lakh to 1.63 crore poor people. We will make 6.15 lakh houses available by next June. We will take steps to ensure that everyone has a house by 2029,” he added.
“We have empowered women through Dwakra associations. Dwakra women are saving a lot of money. Many industries and many people are taking loans and becoming NPAs. But Dwakra associations are repaying the loans taken strictly. We have set a target of making one lakh women entrepreneurs. MLAs should take the responsibility of making it happen. Each MLA should identify one thousand women and work to make them entrepreneurs,” he said.
