Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that more than investments, innovative ideas can be used as an investment to create wealth. He said that the role of Telugu Desam Party is crucial in the development of Hyderabad. He said that HICC was built without spending a single rupee with just one idea.
He commented that it is those living abroad who are preserving the Telugu language and traditions more than the Telugu people living in Andhra and Telangana. He delivered the keynote address at the 12th biennial conference of the World Telugu Federation that began in Hyderabad on Friday. He unveiled the conference souvenir and the Telugu Angels logo.
“When I became the CM in 1996, there was no way to even pay salaries to government employees. At that time, the idea of setting up a huge convention center came up. I consulted the Dubai government on this. I proposed that if the high-tech area is developed, space for villas in Emaar Properties will be provided. That’s it, HICC was formed without spending a single penny”, he added.
Chandrababu recalled that some people ridiculed him when he proposed Vision 2020. As a result of the foundations laid for the development of this region 20 years ago, he said thatTelangana has now become the state with the highest per capita income in the country. It is a matter of pride for us that PV Narasimha Rao, who initiated economic reforms in the country, was a Telugu child, he said.
“I have taken up the reforms he undertook and given priority to the IT sector. Now the highest per capita income in America is with Telugus. If 3.30 lakh students from our country go to America in 2023-24, 50 percent of them will be Telugus. The knowledge economy belongs to Telugus,” Chandrababu said.
He called on people not to forget their homeland and to serve their own region no matter where they go for jobs and business. Chandrababu said that if Prime Minister Modi proposed Vision-2047, he would have proposed Swarnandhra Pradesh by 2047. He said that the IT sector has now reached another stage, which is artificial intelligence (AI).
CM Chandrababu suggested that not only should there be an IT expert in every house, but also that every house should use AI. He said that WhatsApp governance has been made available in Andhra Pradesh from this year. He called on industrialists to be partners in the development of AP.
Chandrababu deplored that the population in the South is decreasing. He said that after 2047, there will be more elderly people in our country. He said that countries like Japan and Germany are asking us to send people from our country. Chandrababu commented that both husband and wife are currently working in IT jobs and are following a policy of ‘No Kids, Better Enjoy’.
