CM Chandrababu says committed To social Justice By Implementing SC classification

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said in the Assembly that his government has proven its commitment to social justice by implementing the SC classification. He announced that they are taking the SC classification forward by remembering great people like Ambedkar, Jagjivan Ram, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and NT Rama Rao and are keeping their word.

Speaking during the debate on the SC classification proposal in the AP Assembly, he revealed that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had also clarified the need for SC classification and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had emphasized the need for classification for SCs as part of social justice.

After analyzing the reasons for the economic, political and social backwardness of some castes in history, he deplored that it is clear that inequalities still persist even after 70 years of independence. Chandrababu recalled on this occasion that the Supreme Court had previously ruled that state governments can classify any caste if they feel it is a backward class.

He clarified that the NDA alliance has kept its promise to adhere to the classification during the elections. He assured that a resolution will be sent to the Center to resolve the issue of the Budaga Jangams and after the Center approves it, the government will work to include them in the SC list.

He said that the government is committed to bringing district-wise categorization and that this process will be completed after the census to be held in 2026. He said that all parties are committed to social justice.

He said that during the Manda Krishna Madiga movement, the problems of the Madigas were identified, the Justice Ramachandra Rao Commission was formed and as per their recommendations, they were classified into four categories. The Chief Minister recalled that an ordinance was issued and a law was also brought in for this.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that the reason why the SC classification has reached this level is Manda Krishna Madiga and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. He said that Manda Krishna is a person who has the courage to say that he is a Madiga, and he wholeheartedly congratulates him for bringing a change to that caste.

Pawan thanked Chandrababu for making SC classification in the united Andhra Pradesh. He said that he hopes that SC classification will benefit everyone. He said that there have been many discussions on SC classification. He reminded that there have been extensive discussions on unrecognized castes.
