CM Chandrababu says Amaravati Quantum Valley should Be on par with Silicon Valley

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has made it clear that Amaravati Quantum Valley should get special recognition like Silicon Valley. He suggested that the AP State Quantum Mission should lead the way in quantum technology and AI. He held a review meeting with IT sector experts and officials at the Secretariat on the AP State Quantum Mission.

The officials explained the agenda and activities of the AP State Quantum Mission to all of them through a presentation. The CM said that a workshop on the Quantum Mission will be held on the 30th of this month. He announced that a special committee is being formed to monitor the Quantum Mission, which will work under the leadership of the Chief Minister.

He said that the IT Minister, the Chief Secretary to the Government, the Secretaries of the IT and Finance Departments, the Mission Director and several experts will be in the committee. He said that representatives and innovators from IT, Pharma, Agro, Health, Universities, Colleges, Startup Companies are being invited.

It has been decided that the Quantum Valley to be built in Amaravati should stand out in the same way as the Hi-Tech City in Hyderabad has become iconic. The AP State Quantum Mission will be completed in two phases. The first phase will be undertaken in 2025-27 and the second phase will be undertaken in 2027-2030.

In the first phase, the main focus will be on infrastructure development, education-research, and pilot programs, while in the second phase, AP’s growth as a global leader, trade, and export capacity will be enhanced. Officials have estimated that this mission will cost Rs. 4,000 crore in the next 5 years.

The government has decided to appoint a director for this quantum mission soon. IBM will lead the AP State Quantum Mission. Chandrababu Naidu said that the quantum computing valley to be set up in Amaravati will be a game changer. He said that quantum computing will be set up in Amaravati for the first time in the country. He said that the quantum computing tower to be set up in Amaravati will be a landmark for the country.
