CM Chandrababu Naidu Participates in Poverty Alleviation Program in Bapatla

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu participated in a poverty alleviation initiative in the newly developed Gollapalem area of the Parchuru constituency in Bapatla district. Following a door-to-door pension distribution, he addressed the public at a gathering.

In his speech, CM Naidu compared the pension distribution process to “pressing all the buttons,” underscoring the importance of the financial assistance. He revealed that the government is currently distributing ₹2,722 crore per month in pensions, totaling ₹33,100 crore annually. Highlighting the contrast with past practices, where missing a month’s pension resulted in a permanent loss, he noted that the current system allows beneficiaries to collect pensions for consecutive months if missed.

The Chief Minister also shared that 93,300 individuals had not received their pensions for two months. He pointed out that the government saves ₹76 crore each month, which is being redirected to support the poor. The government is distributing pensions to 64 lakh families across the state, with TDP being the first party to extend pensions to an average of two and a half families per household.

Chandrababu Naidu assured that the pension distribution process is under close scrutiny to ensure it is running smoothly. He stressed that receiving pensions is a fundamental right and directed staff to handle distributions with respect and dignity. He also confirmed that 98% of pensions are distributed on the 1st of every month.

Further, CM Naidu reiterated his vision for a poverty-free society. He announced a new initiative under the “Margadarshi Bangaru Kutumbam” (Golden Family) scheme, which aims to provide sustainable welfare for the poor. The government intends to offer employment to every citizen and ensure that all households have access to essential services such as solar electricity, drinking water, drainage, cooking gas, and internet.

Chandrababu Naidu concluded by emphasizing his commitment to transforming every village into a model village and ensuring that the needs of the people are prioritized. He reaffirmed his promise to take responsibility for the state’s reconstruction, aligning his actions with the commitments made previously.
