CM Chandrababu Move To speed Up DSC Notification By Issuing ordinance on SC classification

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is said to be taking steps towards issuing an ordinance on the implementation of SC classification, so as to speed up its crucial election promise of DSC notification. It may be recalled that the coalition government promised to issue DSC notification for teacher’s recruitment soon after coming to power.

After coming to power it also decided to fill up 16,347 posts through DSC notification. However, due to various reasons it is

being postponed. Later it is waiting for SC classification to fill up vacancies.

Now, after the assembly passed the bill, without waiting for clearance from the center, the state government is proposing to issue DSC notification by bringing an ordinance on SC classification. Thus, it is estimated that the DSC notification will be issued by the end of this month itself.

The process is expected to be completed by the start of schools after the summer vacations in June. Soon after taking oath as Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu signed the DSC notification and the notification issuance process was completed.

As part of that, the route for issuing the notification has now been cleared. Work is underway to implement the promise. The alliance leaders have promised that if they come to power in AP during the 2024 elections, they will issue a mega DSC notification. At the same time, the issue of SC classification has come to the fore.

After giving clarity on this issue with the guidelines of the Supreme Court, the government has decided to issue a DSC notification. The AP cabinet has recently approved the report given by the Rajiv Ranjan Mishra Commission constituted by the government on SC classification. A resolution was recently passed in the assembly towards the implementation of this report.

At this time, Chandrababu made key comments. He said that category division will have to be done district-wise. The CM clarified that he is ready to divide the categories once again district-wise after the census. Now, the latest Rajiv Ranjan Mishra Committee has divided 59 sub-castes into three categories and allocated reservations.

According to it 8 percent of the posts will go to Malas and sub-castes; six percent to Madigas and sub-castes; 1 percent to the Relli community. All three together will make 15 percent. Now, the government has decided to implement the classification first as a state unit and after the census, it will implement the classification district-wise.
