Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has made it clear that only Hindus should work in the Tirumala temple. He has instructed TTD officials to take immediate action on this. He revealed that orders have been given to remove non-religious employees in TTD.
After visiting Srivari in Tirumala with his family members, Chandrababu conducted a review on the development of Tirumala at the local Padmavathi Guest House. TTD Chairman BR Naidu, EO Shyamala Rao and other officials were present. He later recalled that many atrocities have taken place in the past five years and that he had said during the election that he would cleanse Tirumala from there.
Chandrababu said that he had taken steps to that extent after coming to power. He deplored that at that time permission was given to Mumtaz Hotel by adjoining seven hills and that 20 acres were allotted to that hotel. He said that they have taken action on this and have also cancelled the land allotments of another 35.32 acres to various organizations.
The Chief Minister emphasized that commercial aspects will not be allowed adjacent to the seven hills. He said that they have clearly stated that there is no place for personal interests and their goal is to protect all the properties of Lord Venkateswara Swamy. He revealed that thousands of devotees come to Tirumala every day and many donate to the Annadanam.
Chandrababu said that the satisfaction of serving Annaprasadam to the devotees themselves is priceless. He suggested that everyone should work for the welfare of the society. He clarified that the seven hills belong to Lord Venkateswara Swamy only and no impure activities should be carried out in the seven hills.
He explained that they have decided to build Lord Venkateswara Swamy temples in the capitals of all the states across the country. He said that if the CMs of the respective states also take the initiative, they will take up the construction of temples at the earliest. Moreover, Chandrababu said that temples will be built in places where there is a large number of Hindus around the world.
Chandrababu Naidu said that a special temple trust will be set up for the construction of Srivari temples. He also revealed that a new program called Madhava Seva is being launched on the lines of Annadanam and Pranadanam.
