AP Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu clarified that only water that would otherwise go to waste in the sea will be used for the Polavaram- Banakacharla interlinking project, and that this would benefit Telangana as well. He was furious that BRS was making unnecessary criticisms on this.
He once again stated in the Kadapa Mahanadu that both AP and Telangana states are equal to him and his hope is for both to develop. He reminded that he never objected to Telangana projects being built on Godavari.
“We have designed an action plan to provide water to all parts of AP through the Polavaram- Banakacharla interlinking project. From Polavaram to Krishna river, from there to Bollapalli reservoir, from there to Banakacharla. If this interlinking is completed, the face of AP will change. If water that would otherwise go to waste in the sea is used, Telangana will also benefit. BRS is making unnecessary criticisms on this,” he said.
Chandrababu reminded that it was Telugu Desam that developed Hyderabad, created Cyberabad and that it was also TDP that made Hyderabad a source of income for the country. “If Polavaram- Banakacharla is completed, the face of the state will change. We will connect Vamsadhara with the Godavari River. We will connect the rivers and provide water to the Telugu land”, he added.
He said that in AP, which is at the end, the water that goes to the sea should be used. The remaining water will be used by the drought-stricken areas of Rayalaseema and Telangana will also benefit, not harm anyone, he added.
CM Chandrababu asserted that only TDP has the power to keep the Telugu nation at the top of the world. He deplored that during the last five years of YSRCP rule in AP, there was no protection for the property of the people. He lamented that ganja and drugs have become the rule and ganja cultivation has become a village-level industry in the agency.
TDP chief said that crimes have been made systematic. He said that the head of the previous government killed his own uncle and blamed him for that. Babu said that projects were taken up for the prosperity of Rayalaseema, a drought region, a desert region. He promised that they would not give up and they would complete the Polavaram by December 2027 and dedicate it to the nation.
