Stating that welfare programs cannot be undertaken without wealth creation and that wealth creation can only be possible through industrialists, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu urged industrialists to cooperate in wealth creation in AP. He participated in the CII annual conference held in Delhi and explained the government policies, development and investment opportunities in AP.
He recalled that the economic reforms introduced by PV Narasimha Rao have changed the course of the country. He said that the Internet revolution came in 1990 and that he was one the first to receive it. Chandrababu said that India currently has a favorable population and wants India to properly utilize the demographic dividend.
“Currently, AI, quantum computing, and drones are playing a key role. There is a lot of technology like CCTV cameras, sensors, IoT. Now what the society needs are entrepreneurs. Even though I am the Chief Minister for the fourth time, I have seen many leaders. Modi is the Prime Minister as the right leader at the right time. Modi’s leadership is a major strength for the country”, he said.
“We are setting up the country’s first Quantum Valley in Amaravati. Earlier I said ease of doing business, now I am saying speed of doing business. TCS is starting in Visakhapatnam, ArcelorMittal industry is going to start. Also, Google is going to come to Visakhapatnam,” he added.
CM Chandrababu said that there are good opportunities for green energy in AP and the state is at the forefront of solar, wind and pumped energy. Stating that companies are very interested in green energy, he said that they have received investment proposals of Rs. 5 lakh crore in a year and these projects will create 4.5 lakh jobs.
The Chief Minister said that there are also good opportunities in mining and tourism in AP. “Ratan Tata Innovation Hub is being set up. We will set up 175 industrial parks in 175 constituencies. My goal is to have an entrepreneur from every household. In the past, when I was the CM of the joint AP, we organized CII conferences for 7-8 consecutive years. I have been encouraging entrepreneurs since the beginning,” Chandrababu explained.
“We are working hard to promote Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad is a brownfield city, Amaravati is a greenfield city. We want to be partners in the construction of Amaravati. Amaravati will grow as the best city in the future. The goal is to grow at a growth rate of 15 percent as a 2047 vision”, he added.
CM Chandrababu said that they are moving forward with the slogan of Quantum Valley and AI. Stating that Quantum computing is coming to India for the first time in the country, he said that TCS, IBM, L&T are setting up industries. “We have moved from ease of doing business to speed of doing business,” he said.
