Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced that Yoga Month will start from Wednesday and will continue for a month to make AP a trend setter in Yoga. He said that a month-long campaign will be organized under the name of Yoga Andhra-2025. He said that an activity has been planned across the state so that 2 crore people will participate.
The Chief Minister said that yoga should start in schools as soon as schools open, yoga should be a syllabus and it should be taught to students. He said that committees should be formed at the village level and a campaign on yoga should be organized. He said that yoga is the only way to reduce stress.
He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing such yoga to the world. As Prime Minister Modi promoted yoga through the media, Chandrababu suggested that yoga programs should be promoted through various media channels. He said that there is already a committee with ministers regarding yoga programs, and we will also involve public representatives in this at the village level.
CM Chandrababu said that yoga will be promoted in every home. On the occasion of International Yoga Day (June 21), it was revealed that yoga will be performed in Visakhapatnam with 5 lakh people that day. Stating that the 11th International Yoga Day will be celebrated in Andhra Pradesh on a grand scale, he said that India has given a name to civilization.
He recalled that Prime Minister Modi said that yoga is our heritage, and the reason for its recognition as International Yoga Day. He said that yoga contributes to a better life. Today, he said yoga is a program celebrated in all countries of the world. Chandrababu clarified that yoga is not related to a few or some regions.
CM Chandrababu called for yoga to be a part of everyone’s lives. He said that yoga is a great gift that India is offering to the world. He said that it is not a one-day program for photos and events, but a program that brings about a profound change in everyone.
