AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu lauded that Dubai is the country that created paradise from the desert. Participating as the chief guest at the Investopia Global AP conference held in Vijayawada on Wednesday with the aim of attracting investment from the UAE, he said that the desert areas and beaches in Dubai provide a pleasant experience for tourists.
Expressing his happiness over India’s participation in the development of the UAE, he emphasized that development is possible only if crises are transformed into opportunities. He said that the situation has changed with economic reforms and the technological revolution in 1995.
Stating that India has good relations with the UAE, Chandrababu expressed happiness that 40 percent of the 1.1 crore population there is Indian. “I met Abdullah Bin in January. I asked him to come to AP before that. I told him that you will understand AP only then. As per his promise, he came to Andhra Pradesh first. If you look at the UAE as a country, every country has some advantage”, he said.
“Even though it is a desert and the temperature in Dubai is 50 degrees, they have turned that area into a paradise,” he praised. He said that he had seen the development there. He recalled that if they designed an Internet City, he would set up a Hi-Tech City. He reminded us that in 2021, when we were afraid of Covid 19, at that time the UAE brought Estopia. He said that if we think differently, we will reach higher peaks.
“From 2024 to 2025, a trade of 100 billion US dollars was done between the UAE and India. In the last 10 years, India has reached the fourth position from the 11th position. By 2047, India will be number one in the world. We are making efforts as pioneers,” Chandrababu added.
