Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has become furious about the incident of tying a woman to a tree for not paying off a loan in Kuppam constituency, represented by him. The CM has ordered strict action against those who attacked a woman. The attack on a woman in Narayanapuram village of Kuppam mandal has caused a stir.
The woman was tied to a tree and treated inhumanly by Munikannappa and his family members. The CM spoke to the district SP on this matter. The district SP informed the Chief Minister on this occasion that the accused has already been arrested. CM ordered to take strictest action against those who tied the woman to a tree and tortured her. He said that the police should see that such acts are not repeated in the future.
CM Chandrababu issued clear orders to support the victim’s family and provide their details to the district authorities. He also ordered to collect the details of why the victims had incurred debts and send them to the CM. The CM also spoke to the Chittoor District Collector on this matter and issued orders to send the details of the incident.
Thimmarayappa of the same village, Munikannappa of Narayanapuram in Kuppam mandal, took a loan of Rs. 80,000 three years ago. However, unable to repay the loan, Thimmarayappa left his wife and children in the village and left. With nothing to do, his wife Sirisha is working as a laborer and taking care of the children to repay the loan.
However, Munikannappa and his family members mistreated the woman when she did not repay the loan on time. The woman was tied to a tree and tortured. This incident became a sensation in the district. The police, who came to know about the matter, registered a case against Munikannappa and his family members.
Meanwhile, APCC chief YS Sharmila deplored that it was inhumane to tie a woman to a tree in Kuppam for not repaying the loan. She said that this is a misdeed that the civilized society should lower its head and a great insult to the mother in front of her son. She said that as a fellow woman, she strongly condemns this incident. Sharmila demanded that such inhumane incidents not be repeated in the future and that the woman’s family be taken responsible for the humiliation she suffered.
