CM Chandrababu call For A Large-scale Increase In production And consumption of Indigenous Goods

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu called for a large-scale increase in the production and consumption of indigenous goods in the country. He participated in the Swadeshi Khadi Santha, organised by state BJP president PVN Madhav, as part of the Atma Nirbhar Abhiyan in Vijayawada.

The Chief Minister inspected various stalls set up in the Khadi Santha premises set up as part of the Swadeshi movement. He  inspected various products produced by domestic artisans and organic productsand the photo exhibition of those who participated in the freedom struggle in the Khadi movement. Chandrababu also visited the stall set up on the occasion of RSS Foundation Day.

Chandrababu spun yarn on a rattan set up in the Khadi Santha premises. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister expressed his hope that Khadi Santha and Swadeshi Santha will become a global santha for Indian products.

“India is taking steps in that direction. We have been using foreign goods and foreign technology. Now Prime Minister Modi has called for Swadeshi in the technology sector as well. That is why BSNL recently made Swadeshi 4 stocks available to the people of the country. It was the vaccines produced by India during Covid that saved the lives of people of various countries,” the CM said.

Stating that there are many products in the state, the Chief Minister suggested that they should be branded. Stating that different quality products like Kondapalli and Etikoppaka dolls, coconut products, and handlooms are being made, he said that we should promote these ourselves. He said that if their consumption increases, it will not only preserve our cultural traditions but also give a boost to our economic growth.

Chandrababu made it clear that every citizen should come forward for this, only then will true independence be achieved. The Chief Minister assured that the government will support Etikoppaka, Kondapalli and other arts and the handloom industry. He said that we have promoted our indigenous product Araku Coffee from Andhra Pradesh, and now Araku Coffee is becoming a good brand internationally.
