Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has asked the officials of the medical and health department to take steps to set up a Jan Aushadhi store in every mandal. Speaking at a review meeting held by the medical and health department, he said that this step will reduce the burden on the poor. He directed that the large number of applications received from the BC Corporation for setting up Jan Aushadhi stores be examined and permissions be given to them immediately.
He said that an action plan should be implemented to build a 100-bed hospital in every constituency and inquired about the progress of the medical colleges being built in Markapuram, Madanapalle, Pulivendula and Adoni. He said that the World Health Organization has suggested that there should be 3 beds for every thousand people. He said that currently only 2.24 beds are available for every thousand people in the state.
Accordingly, he said that another 12,756 beds need to be made available in the state and a comprehensive study should be conducted on this. He said that the health chariot should provide mobile medical services in every village and directed that uniforms should be implemented for the staff of 108 vehicles.
After inspecting the NTR baby kits, he ordered to take steps to implement it soon. He said that people should be made aware of the principles of health so that they take precautions before falling ill rather than coming to hospitals for treatment of diseases. He said that yoga and naturopathy should be promoted for this and directed to form a Yoga Prachar Parishad.
CM Chandrababu said that 64 members should be appointed in three regional study centers. He wanted to prepare an action plan for the establishment of a naturopathy university in Amaravati. He directed to complete the pilot project of free medical examinations, which was started in the state in order to create a health profile of everyone, in Kuppam constituency within 45 days.
Representatives of those companies and organizations met Chandrababu and gave a presentation on the establishment of a model inclusive city in Amaravati in partnership with Perkins India-LV Prasad Eye Institute.
