The 52nd CRDA Authority meeting, held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday, approved the formation of a Special Purpose Vehicle to implement key projects to be undertaken within the capital. Naidu directed to focus on completing key constructions in the capital region at the earliest.
The Special Purpose Vehicle will help in projects like Greenfield Airport, NTR Statue, Smart Industries, Iconic Bridge, Sports City, River Front, Ropeway, Inner Ring Road. However, the Chief Minister advised the officials to also bring the Bio Design Project under the SPV. The CM said that a Health City will also be set up in Amaravati on the lines of the Sports City.
CM Chandrababu said that a Bio Design Project should be set up within its scope. He said that experts and organizations from seven countries are ready to be partners in the Bio Design Project for public health services. Officials explained to the CM that the SPV will be fully responsible for the design and revenue generation of projects under the SPV till the completion of construction.
The work related to the creation of necessary infrastructure for the government building complex in Amaravati will begin soon. The CRDA Authority has approved the tender for this. The work related to the construction of roads and footpaths connecting the Amaravati Government Complex buildings will begin from now on. As part of this, the construction of 53.68 km of roads will be undertaken.
Officials explained to the Chief Minister that the rules have been made that not only the construction of roads,. the company that wins the tender will also be responsible for the maintenance of roads for seven years. The Authority has approved the issuance of a notification related to urban designs and architectural guidelines in the capital area.
Chandrababu suggested that precautions should be taken while approving the designs. Amaravati city as a whole should look attractive. The Chief Minister clarified that every structure should attract people. Officials said that activities have increased due to projects being undertaken within the CRDA.
