CM Chandrababu Asks TDP MPs To Get Maximum priority To The state In The Union Budget

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has directed the TDP MPs to ensure that the state gets maximum priority in the Union Budget and at the same time, secure funds for various projects and schemes. In the wake of the central government presenting the budget on February 1, the TDP  Parliamentary Party meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chandrababu at his residence in Undavalli on Tuesday.

Speaking at the meeting, Babu said that special attention should be paid to the implementation of new railway projects and  necessary funds should be channeled for the speedy completion of the Nadikudi- Kalahasti railway line, Renigunta- Gudur, Kotipalli-Narsapur and Kadapa- Bengaluru projects. In this regard, he said that a vision document should be prepared in coordination with the MLAs and collectors.

He suggested that Metro rail projects should be brought to Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada and the pending issues in the Bifurcation Act should be brought to the attention of the Center and resolved. He said that we have a coastline that no other state in the country has, and if we utilize it through the construction of ports, it will generate a large number of jobs and create wealth.

Chandrababu wanted to ensure that new roads are allocated to the state and that permissions are obtained for the expansion of roads. He wanted MPs to increase awareness about the new policies brought by the state government, new innovations, technology, projects and policies being implemented abroad.

He asked them to study how the central government schemes will be useful for the state and inform the relevant ministers. The CM believed that the Godavari- Banakacharla project will work as a game changer and if it is completed, it will benefit the state’s farmers on a large scale.

Chandrababu Naidu suggested that local MLAs should be consulted and allocated on the issue of granting permissions for schemes like employment guarantee. When Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar mentioned that while spending CSR funds, GST should be avoided, the CM responded positively.

TDP Parliamentary Party leader Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu said that the work of TDP MPs was the reason for the Wakf Amendment Bill-2024 going to the Joint Parliament Committee, and that 14 amendments to the bill were passed, out of which 4 were proposed by the TDP.

He said that the attendance of MPs in Parliament meetings by AP TDP MPs is higher than the national average. Similarly, the CM said that while the national average in asking questions by members is 9 percent, the state’s is 20 percent.
