Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu urged Singapore’s partnership in the knowledge economy, infrastructure development, semiconductors, Amaravati development, urban planning and renewable energy sectors.
During his Singapore visit, he met President Dharman Shanmugaratnam and Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong separately proposing to work together on a mutually beneficial basis. Singapore leaders have said that they will consider Babu’s proposals in a comprehensive manner.
Meanwhile, in a round table meeting organized with investors, Chandrababu said that there are favorable conditions for setting up data centers in the state. He said that a special ecosystem has been set up for this.
Representatives of 41 companies attended this round table meeting. Chandrababu said that Google data center will be set up in Visakhapatnam and various IT giants including TCS and Cognizant are coming.
He said that the country’s first Quantum Valley is being set up in Amaravati and more than 20 industrial policies are already being implemented in the state. “We are determined to develop AP as an artificial intelligence hub” and sought AI Singapore to provide support for this.
Chandrababu also met with NIA Engineering Company Senior Vice President NG Johnleen Willin. He said that an industrial corridor is being set up on the state coast connecting Kakinada, Machilipatnam and Krishnapatnam ports. The CM visited the prestigious Jurangad Petrochemical Island.
Asurbana Jurong Deputy Director Teo Eng Kiat and Chief Executive Andiley gave details of the project. They talked about crude oil processing, polymers, fuels, and specialty chemicals manufacturing. They explained that a chemical hub has been established with international standards by converting three thousand hectares of sea into land.
Meanwhile, Singapore’s Minister for Human Resources, Science and Technology Tansileng announced that Singapore will be a partner in the development of AP. He expressed his readiness to work with the AP government. He tweeted to this effect on the X handle about the meeting with Chandrababu Naidu.
He said that investments will be made in the sectors of agriculture, food processing, and renewable energy. He said that companies like Food Empire and Evervolt have already expressed their readiness. CM Chandrababu Naidu responded to Tansileng’s announcement and stated that the discussions he had with Tansileng to work with the state in various fields were fruitful.
