Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has instructed CRDA officials to complete the construction works this season and bring a new look to the capital Amaravati. For this, he suggested that the capital works should be taken up on a war footing and that the details should be kept online from time to time.
The 51st CRDA meeting was held at the Amaravati Secretariat, chaired by CM Chandrababu. He said that Amaravati has geographical advantages that are unmatched by any other region in the country, and therefore, all the constructions undertaken here should be iconic.
“There should be plans to ensure that economic activities take place within the scope of each project. Projects like the Sports City undertaken through SPV should be undertaken with international standards. The river front, ropeway and inner ring roads should be connected. The prestigious Bio-Engineering University will soon come to Amaravati,” Chandrababu said.
The CRDA Authority has approved the construction of drains, water supply and other infrastructure in 29 gram panchayats under the capital Amaravati at a cost of Rs. 904 crore. These works will be undertaken under the LPS Jones Critical Infrastructure and Investment Plan. The authority has approved 9 proposals.
CM Chandrababu has directed to select an excellent design for the iconic bridge to be built over the Krishna River connecting Amaravati. He suggested that different designs, including the traditional Kuchipudi dance posture, be examined. The CRDA Authority has approved the formation of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for various prestigious projects to be undertaken in the capital.
It has agreed to set up an SPV for projects like rope way, Greenfield Airport, NTR Statue, Sports City, Smart Industries, River Front and Inner Ring Road. The authority has approved the proposal to acquire land for the establishment of a gold cluster in 78.01 acres at Atmakur in Mangalagiri.
The authority has expressed the view that there is a possibility the gold cluster will generate investment of Rs 5,000 crores and job opportunities for 20,000 people. Along with the title deeds, assigned lands have also been acquired in land pooling. CM Chandrababu Naidu has responded positively to the request of land donors not to mention assigned land in the certificates.
