Since the YSRCP MLAs are staying away from the assembly sessions, the ruling party members are playing the role of opposition and raising public issues in the absence of an ‘opposition’ in the assembly. On this occasion, the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly expressed his anger over some TDP MLAs questioning ministers and the government on various issues in the assembly.
CM Chandrababu is said to be severely reprimanding them for asking questions with their own agendas. Mentioning the names of several MLAs, he became furious in a tone unlike anything he has seen in recent times. What are the MLAs talking about in the assembly? Shouldn’t the Minister of Legislative Affairs look into what kind of questions they are asking? It is learnt that Payyavula Keshav was also questioned.
He also said that the Chief Whip and the whips are also responsible for this. According to reliable information, Chandrababu met some senior party leaders and senior ministers in his chamber as soon as he arrived in the assembly on Friday afternoon. He discussed the developments of Thursday with them.
Srikalahasti MLA Bojjala Sudheer Reddy said in the House on Thursday, ‘I have written letters to Chandrababu, Lokesh and the Home Minister regarding the transfer of an employee, but the transfer has not happened yet.’ The CM strongly objected to this. After that, Sudheer Reddy, who was seen in the lobby, was reprimanded there.
The attitude of retired IAS officer and Prathipadu MLA Burla Ramanjaneyulu was also mentioned in this meeting. The CM became serious about making comments like kicking out those who post on social media, as he knows everything. In fact, Minister Anita responded to Bura’s comments in the House itself. ‘You acted as a senior officer. Don’t you know the laws?’ she commented.
On Thursday, while the CM was in the House, Achanta MLA Pithani Satyanarayana made a mistake saying that the Home Ministry’s approach to social media posts was not right. CM Chandrababu wonders how seniors who raised this issue also spoke targeting ministers like this? He also expressed extreme impatience over the conversation between Kaikalur and Hindupur MLAs Kamineni Srinivas and Nandamuri Balakrishna that took place in his presence in the House on Thursday.
It is reported that he commented that this was not a development that should have happened. On the second day of the Assembly sessions, MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao made allegations against the PCB Chairman in the House. The name of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan was also mentioned. Overall, it is learnt that the Chief Minister said that such developments are unfortunate and that it is not right to speak targeting individuals and ministers.
