Chiranjeevi Denies Meeting Film Federation Members, Clarifies Wage Hike Rumors

Senior actor Chiranjeevi has refuted reports claiming that he met with film workers on Saturday and promised wage increases for his movie’s crew. Addressing the rumors via a post on social media platform X, Chiranjeevi stated that certain individuals claiming to be Film Federation members falsely alleged that he agreed to their demand for a 30% wage hike.

“I have not met anyone from the Federation. This is an industry-wide issue and cannot be resolved unilaterally by any individual, including myself. The Film Chamber is the apex body responsible for discussions with all stakeholders and arriving at a fair resolution. I condemn these baseless claims aimed at creating confusion among all parties involved,” he said.

Meanwhile, talks between producers and Film Federation leaders regarding wage increases remain inconclusive. The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has issued strict instructions to producers to halt all filming activities and refrain from engaging with Film Federation unions until further notice.

The Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation has been pressing producers for a 30% wage increase. However, the Film Chamber has rejected this demand, calling for unity among all parties to find a permanent and constructive solution.
