The Telangana government’s announcement of the Gaddar Film Awards 2024 has garnered widespread appreciation from leading figures in the film industry. Veteran actor Chiranjeevi expressed his pleasure over the revival of the awards tradition and congratulated all recipients.
Through a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Chiranjeevi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the awardees and thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for reinstating the awards programme. He emphasized the importance of government recognition in motivating artists and technicians in the creative sector.
“State government recognition holds great value. This initiative will inspire every actor and technician working in the creative field,” Chiranjeevi said. He also conveyed his gratitude to the Chief Minister, relevant ministers, officials, and the awards committee for their efforts.
In addition to Chiranjeevi, leading actors Allu Arjun and Jr NTR also welcomed the announcement and appreciated the Telangana government’s support.
The film Committee Kurrallu won the Best Feature Film award for highlighting themes such as national unity, religious harmony, and social upliftment of marginalized communities. Producer Niharika Konidela and the film’s team expressed their happiness over the government’s decision.
Industry experts believe the Telangana government’s encouragement of the arts will foster the production of more quality films in the future.
