Chandrababu’s Silence Sparks Debate Over Pawan Kalyan’s Kakinada Port Allegations

The visit of Pawan Kalyan to Kakinada Port has ignited a hot political debate in Andhra Pradesh. The Deputy Chief Minister accused the port authorities of not allowing him entry for two months. Even after getting access, Pawan Kalyan alleged that he was not allowed to board a ship. His criticism of the local MLA of TDP Kondababu’s silence on the issue has further increased the controversy.

The concerns raised by Pawan Kalyan during his visit included serious illegal activities happening at the port, which included smuggling of ration rice, drugs. He also pointed out security issues, warning that the port could be a gateway for terrorists entering the country. He stated that he would write to Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the security situation. Despite these grave allegations, the state government is yet to respond, even with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu not making a single comment on it.

This is somewhat surprising since Pawan Kalyan’s earlier utterances on issues such as law and order have otherwise led to swift government action. The non-response to the claims by Pawan Kalyan on the Kakinada Port has further raised questions on why MLA Kondababu and the government are not discussing this issue. The increasing silence has led people to speculate that this sensitive issue is being avoided by the government.
