Chandrababu vows To Get `Bharat Ratna’ To NTR

Chief Minister and TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) will be awarded the Bharat Ratna. Speaking at the NTR Cine Vajrotsava ceremony organized by the NTR Literature-Souvenir and Website Committee in Poranki, Penamalur mandal, Krishna district.

Chandrababu asserted that NTR should be given the Bharat Ratna. “We will continue the fight until then. If NTR is awarded the Bharat Ratna, that honor will not only go to the Telugu nation, but to the country as well”, he said.

On this occasion, CM Chandrababu and former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu released the 2025 NTR Calendar and the book ‘Taraka Ramam’ on NTR’s film career. Later, Chandrababu said that NTR will remain a memorable figure in the hearts of the Telugu people. He said that the dream of Swarnandhra Vision-2047 should be realized with his inspiration.

He praised NTR as an indelible mark in the fields of cinema and politics. He said that he was the only person who ran a regional party with national feelings. He recalled that he used to come to Vijayawada for education, sell milk to help his mother, and go to Guntur to share what he had learned with him.

He said that NTR’s Jaitra Yatra began after boarding the Madras train in 1945. He said that NTR is the only leader in the history of the country who has mastered both the silver screen and politics. He said that he was the first to provide property rights to women.

He said that NTR implemented the slogan of Kudu, Gudu, Gudda (food, shelter, cloth). He said that he initiated reservations for women in politics. He praised that he introduced the mandal system and initiated administrative decentralization. He said that he initiated direct elections in local bodies and introduced the Rs. 2 per kilo rice scheme.

The Chief Minister said that it has been 75 years since the release of NTR’s first film Manadesam. He reminded that it has been 75 years since the release of NTR’s first film Manadesam. He said that it is a great thing that Krishnaveni, the heroine of NTR’s first film, is attending this ceremony even at the age of 102.

He said that NT Rama Rao is the epitome of Telugu culture and self-respect. He said that whatever field he steps into is a golden chapter. He said that he will be there as long as history exists. Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said that NTR is known for his discipline, perseverance and efficiency. He said that Rama Rao gave utmost importance to the upliftment of the Telugu language.
