Chandrababu Told officials No More Long Reviews, only Come with Solutions

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is known for conducting prolonged review meetings with senior officials and also party leaders. Many used to be impatient with such meetings. It seems he realized that such reviews failed to yield results. Conducting a meeting with heads of departments and secretaries to the government, he said that hereafter there will be no longer meetings and hours will be held hours together.

However, he cautioned them not to come to him with problems, but only come with ways to solve problems.  He suggested that it is not appropriate to come to him for the solution of every problem, but they should think of the solution themselves and come to him. He suggested that in the past only he used to run, henceforth

ministers and officials should also run the relevant departments.

During the meeting with the officials, he commented that they will see the Chandrababu of 1995 and the then regime. He decided to come up with a plan on how to raise funds for any program and not waste time in discussions. He assured the officials that meetings with him will not exceed an hour.

He said that they were appointed there only after examining who fits where in the allocation of departments. He said that the postings were given after extensive exercise in the transfers of officers. He said that he trusts the authorities and asked them to trust him too.

He said that he will encourage those who work well and leave those who do not work as they were in the past. It is suggested that the officials should think from a humane perspective to benefit the people in some cases, without strictly confining to rules and regulations.

“If you do good, people will always remember, and if people ask for help, the authorities should have ideas to solve it anyway, ” Chandrababu said.  Stressing the need for all the departments and the officials to work sensitively, he asked officials to ensure maximum funds from the center for their respective departments taking advantage from the positiveness prevailed in New Delhi.

Recalling that the previous government did not use the central schemes due to non-giving of matching grants, he said it is necessary to solve the problems in the government departments and comprehensively work on fundraising.
