Several TDP leaders, particularly who sacrificed their seats for alliance partners in recent polls, are eagerly waiting for nominated posts. When the TDP central office invited applications from the aspirants it received more than 70,000 applications. As already it is three months over after Chandrababu Naidu formed his government, impatience also seen in the delay in this regard.

Chandrababu is said to have finalised a list of posts to be filled and likely to issue orders very shortly. TDP leaders are expecting that he may complete the process before Dasara. Already a formula was worked out for nominated posts among alliance partners to distribute in the ratio of 60 percent posts to TDP, 30 percent to Jana Sena and 10 per cent to BJP.

Though Chandrababu said to be prepared to issue orders in the first week of September, it was delayed due to recent floods. The first list is likely to be released in a week. Already some leaders said to be given indication on the posts they are likely to be nominated. After the formation of the government some key leaders announced that nomination posts will be filled within 100 days.

The nomination posts include state level corporations, trust boards of important temples and governing bodies of various corporations. Moreover, posts at the constituency level are also being identified to fill up.

The TDP leaders, who have been out of power for five years and also denied seats in recent polls due to various reasons, are mainly staking their claims for nominated posts. At the same time in Jana Sena also many leaders were unable to contest in the polls as the party confined itself to few seats in the larger interest of coalition.

Moreover, this is the first time that Jana Sena is in the ruling alliance. In all corporations and temple trust boards, representatives of all the three alliance parties are to be accommodated. While the alliance has 164 MLAs, the constituency has been taken as a unit for nomination posts also.

For the crucial TTD Trust Board, Chandrababu Naidu is said to be needed to accommodate people from other states proposed by leaders like Amit Shah, HD Kumaraswamy and Eknath Shinde, in addition to state-level obligations.
