Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu asked to complete the pending MSME parks in the state soon with the participation of farmers in those areas. He conducted a review of the Micro, Small and Medium Industries Department and Food Processing Industries Department at the Secretariat.
He suggested implementing the policy of setting up parks for micro, small and medium industries in partnership with farmers who own land. He said that he wants to adopt the same type of approach in setting up MSME parks as they have benefited them with the participation of farmers in the Amaravati capital region.
The Chief Minister suggested to encourage the establishment of MSME-type industries in villages and work on the establishment of MSME parks with the participation of farmers. Officials said that a similar policy is in place in places like Pune. The CM advised the officials to look into such policies and implement them better in the state.
Chandrababu Naidu directed to remove meaningless regulations in setting up industries and give easy permissions. If any officer or department does not give permission for the establishment of industries within the specified time, the Chief Minister made it clear that the system of obtaining permission automatically should be implemented.
He said that if packing, digital commerce and marketing facilities are provided, there will be demand for the products of small industries. CM Chandrababu Naidu said that there are huge opportunities for setting up food purification units in Andhra Pradesh.
The CM said that the government would give utmost priority to the development of MSMEs, which are crucial for generating employment. He said that good results can be achieved through this sector if the government provides encouragement. The Chief Minister said that this sector, which has been hit by challenges, will be revived through new policies.
