Chandrababu Takes Part in Pension Distribution Program, Outlines Key Initiatives

On December 31, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu participated in a pension distribution program in Yellamanda, Palnadu district. The Chief Minister personally visited homes to hand over cash to pension beneficiaries.

Addressing the gathering, Chandrababu emphasized that with determination, anything is achievable. He clarified that he does not have a “high command” and stated, “The five crore people of this state are my high command.”

Reflecting on the last five years, he noted the significant destruction caused under the previous government, where systems were compromised, and central funds were misappropriated. He criticized the current administration for driving companies out of the state, but asserted that many businesses were now returning under his leadership, signaling a revival of the state’s economy.

Chandrababu also reiterated his government’s commitment to freeing the state from harmful governance and vowed strict action against those engaging in harassment through social media. He warned that anyone posting inappropriate content about women would face severe consequences. “I will treat good people well, but if they stray, there will be no mercy,” he added.

On the development front, Chandrababu outlined plans to address water scarcity through river-linking initiatives and the launch of the “Jalaharati” scheme. He assured that the coalition government would make Andhra Pradesh a drought-free state. Additionally, the Chief Minister revealed plans to introduce drones in agriculture to assist farmers and ensure they face no difficulties.

Further, he mentioned the removal of garbage taxes and pledged to transform the state’s roads to be free of potholes. He also highlighted the revocation of GO No. 217, which had impacted the livelihood of fishermen, and the success of the “Anna Canteens” in addressing hunger. As of now, 198 Anna Canteens have been established, with more to be added as needed.
