Chandrababu Fires on Forced Land Grabs!

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed surprise that for the first time in the history of the country a person forcibly acquired assets at gunpoint with the support of power. Indicating forcible acquisition of share in Kakinada Port, he said that he is thinking about what action to take against such crimes.

The CM said that we have heard about corruption, but we are just seeing the majority shares in businesses being forcibly grabbed. The CM wanted to see if the issue of forcibly grabbing shares in Kakinada Port and SEZ falls under the ambit of land grabbing.

Referring to the solar power purchase agreement bribes row against Jagan, the Chief Minister suggested that the officials should study what to do about the electricity contracts signed during Jagan’s tenure. He said that there should be measures to ensure that a fine is paid if the contract is canceled once.

He said that he is weighing what is good from the perspective of the people from all sides. The CM received the representations from the people at a public forum program at the party’s central office NTR Bhavan on Wednesday.  

He said that many problems have been solved with the intention of providing sand to the people at a low price. He revealed that a free sand board has been set up and it has been made easy to transport any number of tons. The issue of irregularities in the Rythu Bharosa Kendras in Pamarru and Penamaluru constituencies of Krishna district has come to the notice of CM Chandrababu.

There are allegations that officials and millers are making money by collecting more grain from farmers and showing less in the records. The CM ordered the issue immediately.  The CM said that a registration system has been set up through WhatsApp to speed up the purchase of rice.

He said that once registered, a message will be sent through IVRS. Through this, it was revealed that they are checking whether the purchase of rice was done properly or not. He said that when the recent cyclone hit, the government bore the transportation costs and sent the rice to the mills so that it would not be a burden on the farmers.

He said that there are many complaints of land disputes and it is not right for the officials to transfer them from their seats to someone else without resolving them. The CM criticized the negligent attitude of some officials. He clarified that their goal is to resolve every complaint received from the people.
