Chandrababu Questions Jagan on Dalit Remarks After Tirumala Trip Cancellation

The sudden cancellation of former Chief Minister Jagan’s trip to Tirumala today has sparked intense political discussions. Furthermore, his comments during a subsequent press conference have caused outrage among leaders of coalition parties. Jagan remarked, “If a former Chief Minister is not allowed into the Tirumala temple, what will happen to the condition of Dalits?”

In response, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu sharply questioned Jagan, asking, “Why are you dragging Dalits into this matter when you’re not going to the Tirumala temple?”

“Who said that Dalits cannot enter the Tirumala temple? Is there a ban on allowing Dalits into the temple? You are deliberately creating controversy by not going to Tirumala. This has become a habit for you. You lack credibility in politics. He doesn’t want to go to Tirumala… if he goes, he has to sign… he doesn’t want to sign… but now he cannot create a ruckus. Therefore, whether he goes to Tirumala or not is his problem. Why are you dragging Dalits into this?” Chandrababu criticized.

“He is lying about everything. Police Act 30 is in effect in the district. He claims he received notices when notices were served to MLAs. Did anyone give him a notice saying not to go to Tirumala? Did anyone come and tell him he cannot go to the Venkateswara temple? When they are telling these lies, if we do not refute them, they will assume these lies are the truth,” Chandrababu added.
