Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reached out to his Telangana counterpart, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, proposing a crucial meeting on July 6 at Revanth Reddy’s residence in Hyderabad. In his letter, Naidu emphasized the importance of this meeting to address and resolve key issues stemming from the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act of 2014. This landmark act, which led to the bifurcation of the erstwhile unified Andhra Pradesh into two separate states, has left several matters unresolved, necessitating ongoing dialogue and cooperation.
Naidu expressed his desire to foster a spirit of close collaboration between the two Telugu-speaking states. He highlighted the shared cultural, historical, and linguistic bonds that unite Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, underscoring the need for mutual understanding and cooperation to ensure the sustained progress and prosperity of both regions.
The proposed meeting aims to address a range of issues, including the equitable distribution of resources, water-sharing agreements, infrastructure development, and other matters of mutual interest. Naidu believes that a constructive and collaborative approach will pave the way for long-term solutions that benefit the people of both states.
By initiating this dialogue, Naidu seeks to build a stronger partnership with Telangana, enhancing regional stability and promoting economic growth. He emphasized the importance of setting aside political differences and working together for the greater good of their states. This meeting is expected to mark a significant step towards strengthening inter-state relations and fostering a more integrated and prosperous future for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
