Chandrababu Kept A Target Of 1 Lakh Votes Majority In Kuppam

TDP supremo and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is re-contesting from Kuppam assembly seat for the eighth consecutive time, set a target of 1 lakh votes majority this time in the constituency. He has been winning from here since 1989.

As part of his `Prajagalam’ tour in the state, he arrived at Kuppam on Monday on a two-day tour. Addressing a massive public meeting on the first day of his tour, he assured that the development that would take 40 years would be done within the next five years.

He promised to connect Kuppam constituency with Bangalore city by laying  a four-lane road from Sajjapuram to Kuppam, so that to reach the Garden city  in just one hour from Kuppam. He deplored that the YCP regime has been harassing TDP cadre here, but he appreciated that   Kuppam TDP workers remained as strong soldiers and did not leave the party flag even if they were sent to jail.

Promising to give PRC to the employees again, he advised the employees not to fear the YCP government. Chandrababu called upon the employees to come forward if the leaders of the unions do not come forward. He said that no one should be afraid of the police and assured that he will meet the fair demands of the employees.

Naidu said that TDP is preparing election manifesto for each constituency. Alleging that the YCP who obstructed the development of the constituency, he cautioned that after returning to power they will payback.Stating that he would prepare plans for the industrial development of the constituency so that to provide jobs for the youth.

He alleged that the `psycho’ chief minister resorted to a high-drama in the name of bringing Handri – Niva water to Kuppam. He said that during the TDP government 90 per cent of the project was completed and the remaining portion will be completed and all the ponds will be filled up with the water as soon as TDP returns to power.

Accusing that YCP regime completely ignored development of Kuppam constituency, Chandrababu announced that after returning to power it will be developed by allocating a special fund of Rs 100 crore.  He announced that a new highway will be laid out from Kolar to Kuppam and Ramakuppam to Tamil Nadu.
