Chandrababu For CID probe Into PDS Rice Mafia At Kakinada Port

Admitting that the PDS rice and land encroachment mafia is challenging the government, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu informed ministers to conduct a CID inquiry into the encroachment of Kakinada port and SEZ. Chandrababu Naidu alleged that Kakinada Port and Kakinada SEZ were forcibly snatched away.

He expressed his anger that grabbing assets has become a new trend during the YSRCP regime and has never been seen before. He criticized that the YSRCP government has badly damaged the systems.  He was furious that the 5-year destruction of Amaravati has put an additional burden of 33.9 percent on the government.

After the cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the CM and the ministers discussed various crucial issues. The CM questioned the officials on why the Jal Jeevan Mission has not progressed beyond the level of DPIRs? Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that there is talk in Delhi that the state government is not taking advantage of this project that provides drinking water to everyone.

The Chief Minister expressed his anger that a good scheme is not being taken advantage of due to bureaucratic delays. Minister Nara Lokesh said that the Jal Jeevan scheme will yield wonderful results if it is worked in mission mode. The CM said that the officials should focus on the proper utilization of the schemes.

It was decided in the cabinet meeting to complete the drinking water projects in Pulivendula, Uddanam and Done. Chandrababu directed that the visibility of the ministers should increase. Since the government will complete 6 months on December 12, he made it clear that he would streamline it if a comprehensive report is given on what everyone has done.

He said that the liquor and sand mafias have been stopped and the remaining minor problems will be solved.  It was decided to celebrate Potti Sriramulu’s self-sacrifice day on December 15. The cabinet approved the IT, textile and maritime policies. The cabinet approved several amendments in the tourism and sports policies.

Chandrababu said that opinion polls are being conducted through IVRS on the schemes being implemented by the coalition government.  It was decided to use the distant coastline of the state for setting up industries.

Chandrababu said that we do not have shipbuilding, ship breaking, ship repair, and believed that if we take advantage of these opportunities that are not available in South India, there will be immense opportunities. He reminded that by taking advantage of water transportation, the cost will also be reduced.
