Chandrababu Expresses Concern Over Trump Tariffs Impacting Aqua Sector in Andhra Pradesh

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has expressed serious concern over the adverse impact of U.S. President Donald Trump’s retaliatory tariffs on the state’s aquaculture industry. The sector has reportedly been thrown into crisis following the tariff hike.

Speaking to the media, Chandrababu remarked that the repercussions of Trump’s decisions are being felt far beyond American borders. “America is in turmoil today. The blow dealt there has directly hit our prawn exports. We cannot dismiss it as unrelated to us. Every action has its reaction,” he said.

The Chief Minister noted that he is still assessing the situation and has called for a review meeting. “I’m unable to immediately determine the best course of action. That’s why I have convened a meeting this afternoon to review the developments,” he added.

Chandrababu also highlighted the global consequences of the U.S. administration’s decisions. “One decision has impacted the entire world. Even in the U.S., there are protests in over 2,000 locations. I have never heard of demonstrations on this scale in America,” he said.
