Chandrababu Elected As NDA Legislative Party Leader

TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu was unanimously elected as the leader of the NDA legislative party. In a program held in Vijayawada on Tuesday,  the legislators of NDA’s partner parties Telugu Desam, Jana Sena and BJP unanimously elected Chandrababu as the leader of the legislative party. When Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan proposed his name, all the MLAs approved unanimously.

Chandrababu expressed his gratitude for being elected as the leader of the NDA party and said that he has seen many elections in the past, but now the people have given a verdict that has never been seen in the history of the state. Recalling that they campaigned for the people to win and for the state to stand, and the people won the elections, he said that now it is  the responsibility of the newly elected MLAs to see that the state should stand.

Chandrababu said that these are the elections that were held without any complaints after the formation of alliances. He hailed that one hundred percent leaders and activists worked together. He said that the workers of the three parties worked according to the mood of the people. He wholeheartedly congratulated the workers of the three parties.

He said that even in 1994, even though one-sided elections were held, so many seats and votes did not come. He said that they won 164 out of 175 and lost only 11. The striking rate was 93 percent. As against the expectation of 50 percent of votes, he hailed that they could get 57 percent of the votes.

He particularly appreciated that the Jana Sena won in all 21 seats contested, while the BJP won eight out of ten, and the candidates won wherever they stood firm. Chandrababu said that people trusted and won and everyone in Delhi respected him with the verdict given in the state.
