Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has expressed anger over YCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s allegations that 36 political murders took place in AP after the elections. He said why they are not able to reveal the names of those dead and said that Jagan is telling lies by not coming to the Assembly.
“If you dare, come to the assembly. Let’s discuss every issue in the assembly,” he challenged. The CM warned that he does not like political partisanship, but if anyone commits murders and escapes, he will be punished according to the law.
He made these remarks while answering the questions asked by the members when the white paper was placed before the House on the massive financial management errors in the state between 2019-24.
He alleged that the per capita income of the people in the state has not increased, but the income of the YCP leaders has increased hundreds of thousands of times. CM Chandrababu criticized former CM Jagan for threatening industrialists if they invest in this state.
“They are saying that if a person named Rashid dies, we go to his house. Who is Rashid? Who killed? Who is dead? Ask which party they once belonged to. Were they were in your party until the other day, or not? Well that’s over. You went to the governor alleging that 36 people had died. Give the names of those 36 people,” he said.
“We have arrested those who killed a man named Rashid. If you have courage, if you are shy, if you are honest, give those names. I have given the names of those whom you killed in the past. Now we will take action against them. We will open all those cases again. I will also take action against what you are saying today. Are you ready?”, Chief Minister challenged.
“Don’t talk nonsense. Don’t cry. I told you that my party will punish them if they do wrong. Democracy does not mean making false accusations under a political mask. We will remove that mask. We will start the policy of treating criminals as criminals. First, come to the assembly and talk about the murders. Don’t talk outside,” said Chandrababu.
“ If 22 files are burnt in the Madanapally sub collector office, is it a fire accident? Is it wrong to investigate it? Should we believe that former minister Vivekananda Reddyi had a heart attack? Do you want to admit that you finally killed yourself?”, he asked.
